We have had three during our fight on Oahu - two were awful, one has been superb.
On the bad list are Cheryl Brawley, our original attorney who showed up for our hearing completely unprepared, refused to meet with my wife before the next hearing, and in general was "too busy" for us, leading to disaster in our case. The second, and even worse, attorney was Sara Harvey. For two months she failed to submit even one motion for us despite repeated demands, and for this period of inactivity she charged over $10K! As we later came to find out, she lied to us about her past involvement in cases like ours (she normally was on the other side!), charged us for meals that were unrelated to our case, and failed to disclose all correspondence in our case.
The attorney we have stuck with is Stacey Joroff, who practices on Kauai. She is wonderful, responsive, diligent, and smart. She is fighting against an incredibly corrupt Family Court system, which places her at a disadvantage, but she is doing the best she can considering the circumstances.
