Representative Cindy Evans is a veteran legislator serving her fourth term in the Hawai'i State House of Representative representing North Kona, South Kohala on the Big Island. The growing West Hawai'i district includes over 25,000 residents and includes Pohakuloa Training Area, Kawaihae Harbor, Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawai'i, Kona International Airport, and the famed resorts of the Kohala Coast.

Evans has served as Majority Whip, Chair of Public Safety & Military Affairs, Vice Chair of Energy and Environmental Protection, Vice Chair of Education, and as a member on Commerce and Consumer Protection, Finance, Labor, Judiciary, Transportation, Water Land Ocean and Hawaiian Affairs Committees.
